a holistic psychologist
based in the Blue Mountains

approach

Hi, I’m Curtis McDonald, a provisional psychologist working in-person and remotely from The Blue Mountains — Dharug and Gundungurra Country.

I take a holistic and integrative approach to psychological wellness. I work with the whole person—mind, body, relationships, meaning, and spirit—rather than operating solely from a manualised or diagnostic medical model. My stance is progressive, humanistic, and grounded.

My interests lean towards depth-oriented and psychodynamic modalities, including Internal Family Systems, existential counselling, Jungian psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and a range of other evidence-based approaches.

I welcome NDIS clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. My practice is neuroaffirming, gender-affirming, trauma-informed, and inclusive of people from all backgrounds. Everyone is welcome.

I look forward to meeting you.
